Ingrid Schmoliner

Ingrid Schmoliner is a composer, pianist, and educator based in Vienna, affiliated with the Music and Arts Private University of the City of Vienna (MUK). She teaches yodeling, overtone singing, improvisation, and advanced piano techniques internationally. Her work bridges contemporary classical music, free jazz, and experimental improvisation, often incorporating prepared piano and electronic elements. A notable project is MNEEM (2019), a commissioned piece for Wien Modern Festival exploring cyclic overtone series and prepared piano techniques.

• Educational Background: Classical piano studies at Klagenfurt State Conservatory, with additional training in jazz singing, yodeling, and overtone singing.
• Ensembles: Watussi, Para, Nabelòse (duo with Elena Kakaliagou), and GRIF (with Emilio Gordoa and Adam Pultz Melbye).
