Jessica Nowlin is an Assistant Professor in Classics at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), College of Liberal and Fine Arts. Her research integrates Mediterranean archaeology, digital humanities, and critical historiography. Specializes in western Mediterranean archaeology (1st millennium BCE) Focuses on digital recording/preservation methods Examines colonialism and globalization in antiquity Co-directs the Sinis Archaeological Project in Sardinia Principal Investigator for Bexar County Historical GIS Project Her academic journey includes a PhD in Archaeology from Brown University (2016) and BA degrees in Classics and Archaeology from UT Austin (2007). She has conducted fieldwork across Italy, Crimea, and Belize.
