Carolina Rascon Hernan is a Lecturer in the Department of Nursing at the Faculty of Nursing, University of Girona, where she has been serving as a full-time non-permanent faculty member since 2013. She previously worked as an Associate Professor and clinical nurse at Dr. Josep Trueta University Hospital until 2013. Academic Background: Diploma in Nursing (2003), School of Nursing, University of Girona Master’s in Pediatric and Adolescent Nursing (2007), University of Barcelona Postgraduate in Critical Care Nursing (2008), University of Girona Master’s in Health Promotion (2012), Faculty of Nursing, University of Girona PhD in Nursing (2017), University of Girona Specialist in Pediatric Nursing (2015) Her research focuses on the development of the nursing profession, with strong interdisciplinary interests in gender, diversity, and health. She is actively involved in educational innovation from a gender perspective and contributes to simulation-based learning through inter-university collaborations. Dr. Rascon Hernan is a member of several key research groups, including the AGAUR-recognized Development of the Nursing Profession Research Group , the inter-university healthcare simulation group GRISCA, and the interdisciplinary GiRGEDIS group focused on gender, diversity, and health. She also participates in the University of Girona’s Gender Perspective Teaching Innovation Network.
