Jonas Radl

Jonas Radl is an Associate Professor of Sociology at the Department of Social Sciences, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), and a Visiting Research Professor at WZB Berlin Social Science Center. He is affiliated with the Carlos III-Juan March Institute of Social Sciences (IC3JM), Institute of Economics (IE-UC3M), and leads the UC3M Research Group "Social Structure and Population." He was Principal Investigator of the ERC-funded "Effort and Social Inequality" (EFFORT) project.

• Education: PhD in Social Sciences, European University Institute (2010); BA in Sociology, Freie Universität Berlin.

His research spans social stratification, retirement dynamics, gender and family, personality, and ethnic inequality. Recent work examines cognitive effort in children, birth month effects, and parenting practices through experiments. Publications reflect interdisciplinary engagement with educational psychology, labor markets, and policy analysis.
