Dr. Prabashi Dharmasiri is a Lecturer in the Department of Accounting, Information Systems & Supply Chain at RMIT University's School of Accounting, Information Systems, and Supply Chain . She holds a PhD from Monash University and specializes in auditing, financial accounting, and behavioral economics. Her research focuses on executive social connections and corporate governance, employing archival and experimental methods. Current projects explore how executive networks influence firm governance structures. Research Interests: Auditing and assurance, corporate governance, fraud detection, and financial accounting frameworks. Her work bridges behavioral economics with practical auditing challenges, emphasizing ethical and regulatory compliance in financial reporting. Publications: Recent work includes studies on climate change disclosures' impact on investors (2025), audit standards revisions (2024), and the role of regulatory focus in auditors’ skepticism (2023). She has also examined CEO compensation dynamics and the consequences of audit violations. Teaching: Specializes in auditing education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Previously held a Lecturer position at the University of Tasmania (2021–2022). Supervision: Supervised projects like The Impact of Component Auditors’ Involvement in Multinational Group Audits . Open to guiding Masters and PhD students in auditing and related fields.
