Prof. Dr.-Ing. Cathrin Schröder is a Professor for Electrical Power Engineering and Control Systems at the Technical University of Central Hesse (THM), Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. She currently serves as Deputy Senator (since 2021) and Dean of Studies (since 2017), with prior leadership as Head of the 'Electrical Power Engineering for Renewable Energy Systems' program (2014-2017). Her research spans electrical systems and networks, control engineering, and renewable energy integration. Key focus areas include: Process simulation for gas distribution networks Grid connection of combined heat/power plants Automation of industrial biogas facilities Network quality management Prof. Schröder directs two laboratories: the Laboratory for Control Technology and the Laboratory for Electrical Power Supply.
