Richard J. Cook is a University Professor and Mathematics Faculty Research Chair in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science at the University of Waterloo. He holds cross-appointments at the School of Public Health and Health Systems at the University of Waterloo and the Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University. Previously, he held a Tier I Canada Research Chair in Statistical Methods for Health Research from 2005 to 2019. His educational background includes: BSc in Statistics from McMaster University MMath in Mathematics from University of Waterloo PhD in Statistics from University of Waterloo Professor Cook's research focuses on developing and applying statistical methods for public health research.
