Adriana Gabor is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Khalifa University, with a focus on developing algorithms and mathematical techniques for optimization problems. She previously held academic positions at Eindhoven University of Technology, Erasmus University Rotterdam, and United Arab Emirates University. PhD in Applied Mathematics (Operations Research), University of Twente, The Netherlands Ms in Mathematics, Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj, Romania Her research lies at the intersection of Operations Research and Applied Stochastic Processes, with a particular emphasis on integrating Machine Learning into optimization frameworks for practical applications in logistics and telecommunications. She has contributed to advancements in location theory, inventory management, transportation optimization, and network design problems. Adriana has supervised 2 PhD students and 19 Master’s students, including current PhD candidates Muhammad Ridwan Reza, Yusuf Amidu, and Shahana Mohammed Ali Kappil. Her work has been published in leading journals such as the European Journal of Operations Research, Transportation Science, and Discrete Applied Mathematics. She teaches courses including Probability and Stochastic Processes (MATH243), Senior Research Project I and II (MATH497, MATH498), and Special Topics in Industrial Engineering (ISYE495).
