She holds a cotutelle PhD from Ca' Foscari University and the University of Bremen, focusing on the acquisition of Chinese syntactic structures by Italian learners. Her current research is centered on the PRIN 2020 national project on Chinese resultative verbal complexes, combining corpus and experimental methods. Research Interests: Her work lies at the intersection of Chinese linguistics, second language acquisition, and corpus-based methodologies. She specializes in the acquisition of syntactic constructions such as shì...de clefts and resultative verb compounds, integrating pragmatic and grammatical analysis. Her methodological expertise includes learner corpus compilation, error and pragmatic annotation, and experimental task design. Publication Trends: Her recent publications (2023–2025) reflect a strong focus on constructing and analyzing learner corpora (e.g., BILCC), investigating specific syntactic phenomena in L2 Chinese, and evaluating pedagogical materials. The work consistently employs triangulated methodologies, combining corpus data with experimental findings to understand L2 acquisition processes. Scientific Awards: Winner of the 2022 Hawai'i International Conference on Chinese Studies (HICCS) graduate student award 3-year PhD full merit scholarship (2019–2022) 1-year MA full merit scholarship (2015–2016) Winner of the First Competition of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages, Capital Normal University (2016) Overseas Scholarship (Merit Scholarship), Ca' Foscari University of Venice (2014) Advising and Academic Service: She has co-supervised MA theses in Chinese linguistics and language studies. Her service includes refereeing for journals like Corpus Linguistics and Linguistic Theory and Chinese as a Second Language Research , abstract reviewing for international conferences, organizing the 2025 IACL conference, serving on the editorial board of the Journal of Chinese Language Education and Evaluation , and holding an executive board position in the CASLAR association. Labs and Research Groups: She is an active member of the PRIN 2020 research project unit on Chinese resultative verbal complexes, led by Prof. Bianca Basciano. Her work is closely associated with learner corpus research initiatives and international collaborations in Chinese linguistics.
