Magdalena Wrembel

Magdalena Wrembel is a Professor at the Faculty of English, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (UAM), where she has held positions since 1996—progressing from Assistant Lecturer to full Professor (2017–present). She serves as Head of Bilingualism Matters@Poznań and Principal Investigator for major grants including CLIMAD (OPUS-19-HS) and ADIM (GRIEG-1 NCN/Norway Grants). Her educational background includes an MA in English (1993), Ph.D. in English (2005), and D.Litt. in Linguistics (2016), all from Poznań.

Her research explores multilingual phonological acquisition, psycholinguistics, and pedagogy, with emphases on:

• Cross-linguistic influence in L2/L3 phonology
• Neurocognitive processing of speech sounds (ERP studies)
• Bilingual/metalinguistic awareness development
• Innovative pronunciation teaching methods
