Zsuzsa Kaló is an Associate Professor at Eötvös Loránd University's Department of Counseling and School Psychology. As Head of Department, she oversees academic and administrative functions while maintaining active roles in the Criminal Psychology Research Group and institutional committees (Research Transparency Committee, Research Ethics Committee). Her expertise spans clinical psychology, trauma studies, and qualitative research methods.
Dr. Kaló's research focuses on adolescent mental health (e.g., cyberbullying trauma, bullying dynamics in Bangladesh), addiction behaviors (female gambling, work addiction), and marginalized populations' experiences (e.g., NPS users, homeless women). She employs mixed-methods approaches, emphasizing interpretative phenomenological analysis and qualitative validation studies. Recent work examines post-traumatic growth among Ukrainian war survivors and menstrual health perceptions among female athletes.
Her publications demonstrate interdisciplinary engagement across psychology, public health, and gender studies. Despite prolific output, no scientific awards are explicitly listed. She advises via the Criminal Psychology Research Group and collaborates internationally on substance use and conflict-related mental health projects. Office hours are Tuesdays 13:00-14:00 at Izabella u. 46, Room 108.
