Zoï CHRISTOFOROU holds the position of Associate Professor at the University of Patras (Greece) and serves as a Lecturer at the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (France) and the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland). She specializes in transportation systems, urban mobility, and infrastructure planning. Her research focuses on modeling transportation networks for private vehicles, trains, pedestrians, and personal transportation devices (PTDs), with a strong emphasis on safety and sustainable development.
- Education: Engineer, MSc and PhD from the Polytechnic School in Greece (transportation field), and an MSc and PhD from the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées.
- Teaching Roles: Responsible for modules in Traffic Engineering, Digital Statistics for Mobility Data, and Transport Safety at multiple institutions. Co-leads courses on Autonomous Vehicles and Public Transport Simulation.
Her professional experience includes a decade as a freelance transport consultant, roles at the Athens 2003 Olympic Games Organizing Committee, and leadership in research projects at the National School of Bridges and Roads.
