Christian Rieser

Christian Rieser is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at The Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture, Cooper Union. His expertise spans structural engineering with a focus on bridge systems, dynamic analysis of pedestrian structures, and innovative material applications in architecture. He holds a master’s degree in engineering from the Technical University of Munich and the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (France).

Professionally, he worked at top-tier engineering firms in Europe and the U.S., contributing to global infrastructure projects. Currently, he is Technical Director at knippershelbig’s New York office, overseeing structural engineering for landmark projects.

Notable projects include collaborations with renowned architects on monumental stair systems and dynamic floor designs. He has presented research at conferences like International Bridge Conference and Footbridge 2014.
