Prof. Dr. Zoran Velkovski is a Full Professor at the Institute of Pedagogy, Faculty of Philosophy, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. He has held leadership roles including Director of the Pedagogical Institute of Macedonia (1998–1999), Head of the Institute of Pedagogy (1999–2004), and Vice Rector for Teaching (2004–2008). His academic journey includes a PhD on 'Andragogic aspects of unemployment in the Republic of Macedonia' (1998) and a master’s degree on adult education participation (1993).
Education background: PhD in Pedagogical Sciences (1998), Master’s in Adult Education (1993), and undergraduate studies at the same university. Research focuses on adult education, vocational training, labor market dynamics, and educational policy.
He has led over 50 domestic and international projects, advised institutions like the World Bank, UNESCO, and EBRD, and contributed to strategic documents for Macedonia’s education system. His work emphasizes intercultural dialogue, inclusive education, and workforce development.
Teaching includes courses on andragogy, human resource management, EU education reforms, and perspectives in adult education. He serves on editorial boards of journals like the CEPS Journal and Awakening of Knowledge.
