Zoltan Haiman is a Professor of Astronomy at Columbia University's Faculty of Arts and Sciences. He earned a Ph.D. in Astronomy from Harvard University (1998) and a B.S. in Physics and Electrical Engineering from MIT. His research spans theoretical astrophysics and cosmology, focusing on the formation of the first stars and black holes, black hole growth, dark energy/matter analysis through astronomical surveys, and computational astrophysics using NASA/NSF supercomputing facilities.
