Zoeanne Schinas

Dr. Zoeanne Schinas is an Associate Professor in the Department of Optometry and Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at Nova Southeastern University's College of Optometry. As an attending optometric physician at NSU Health Eye Care, she supervises clinical training for student interns and residents while teaching contact lens courses.

Education:

• Bachelor of Science, Florida International University (1999)
• Doctor of Optometry (with honors), Nova Southeastern University (2004)
• Residency in Primary Care with Cornea and Contact Lens emphasis, Nova Southeastern University

Research Focus:
Her work spans clinical optometry with specialization in contact lens applications, corneal health, ocular disease management, and primary care protocols. She maintains active research output through conference presentations and continuing education initiatives.

Academic Leadership:
Dr. Schinas coordinates clinical training programs as a residency supervisor and student intern preceptor across Cornea/Contact Lens and Primary Care services. She also leads Contact Lens laboratory instruction and didactic coursework.
