Zoe Polly is a Senior Lecturer in Children and Young People's Nursing at the University of Surrey, affiliated with the School of Health Sciences within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Nursing Studies (Child Field), a Postgraduate Diploma in Learning and Teaching, and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA). Her career includes clinical nursing roles at Frimley Park Hospital before transitioning to full-time academia in 2012.
- Roles: Module Convener (NUR3176), Personal Tutor, Practice Liaison Tutor, and Cohort Lead for Child and Young People Nursing.
- Research: Focuses on psychosocial needs of siblings in cancer-affected families, pediatric chronic conditions, oncology care, and pain management. Currently pursuing a PhD on sibling psychosocial needs in cancer diagnoses.
Teaching specialties include cancer care, hospitalization effects on families, pharmacology, and clinical simulation. She maintains active clinical practice at Frimley Park Hospital alongside academic responsibilities.
