Shelly Rowell is a Senior Lecturer and Admissions Tutor at the University of Sunderland's Department of Children's & Young People's Nursing Practice. With a 12-year clinical background as a Children's Nurse, she specializes in neuro-disabilities, complex health needs, and epilepsy care. Previously a Children's Epilepsy Nurse Specialist, she ran nurse-led clinics and is a non-medical prescriber. Her expertise includes acute and palliative care, safeguarding, and community-based nursing. She teaches on the BSc (Hons) Children's and Young People's Nursing Practice program. Her clinical experience spans general paediatrics, community nursing, and preventing hospital admissions.
