Zoe Monk is a Lecturer (ASE) and Director of Employability at the Edge Hotel School, University of Essex. She oversees student experiences through placement rotations at Edge’s four-star hotel, Wivenhoe House. Previously, she served as Industry Engagement Officer (2021–2023) and held roles in the University’s HR team (2019–2021). With over 13 years in hospitality, including event management for Disney, NFL, and high-profile clients, her expertise spans luxury weddings and events.
- Qualifications:
- BA (Hons) in Event Management & Human Resource Management (University of Chichester)
- Current studies: MSc in Human Resource Management (Essex, 2024) and PG Cert in Higher Education Practice (Essex, 2024)
Her research focuses on professional development in hospitality, graduate employability, and EDI initiatives. She teaches courses such as Event and Hotel Operations, Customer Experience Strategies, and Continual Professional Development modules.
