Zoe Gazeley is an Assistant Professor (Academic) at Coventry University's CAS School of Social Sciences & Humanities, where she serves as Course Director for the BA English and TEFL program. She is also a PhD candidate researching English for Specific Academic Purposes (ESAP) pedagogy for International Fashion students. Her academic roles include teaching on TEFL modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and acting as a Cambridge-accredited CELTA trainer.
Her research focuses on ESAP materials design, digital literacy in EAP classrooms, and intercultural communication. She has contributed to projects such as the AR Prison Break initiative (2018) and co-led the MexCo telecollaborative study between the UK and Mexico. She has presented at international conferences, including the BALEAP and EUROCALL conferences, and published in peer-reviewed collections.
Zoe has received the 2019 Coventry University Digital Fluency and Innovation Award. Her teaching spans diverse contexts, including Mexico City, Moscow, Japan, China, and Saudi Arabia, emphasizing practical EAP applications for global learners.
