Joanne Callaghan

Joanne Callaghan is a Lecturer in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and CELTA (Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults) at Coventry University's Faculty of Arts and Humanities. She teaches undergraduate and postgraduate modules including Introduction to TEFL, Principles and Practice of TEFL 1 & 2, and English Language Teaching in Practice at MA level. As course tutor for CELTA, she leads teacher training programs for adult English language educators.

Her career began in 2005 as an English language teacher in further education settings, followed by teacher training roles at Warwickshire College and the University of Warwick. Joanne joined Coventry University in 2018, transitioning to a full-time academic role in 2021. Her expertise focuses on practical language pedagogy and professional development for educators.
