Zoe D'Arcy is a Research Fellow affiliated with RMIT University and part of the Fire to Flourish initiative. Her research focuses on disaster risk reduction, particularly addressing fire emergencies and community resilience in an uncertain future. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (2020–2023) and a Master of Disaster Design and Development (2017–2018) from RMIT.
Her work explores barriers to fire adaptation, digital innovation in archives, and participatory approaches to cultural heritage management. Notable projects include Project Chrysalis (digital transformation of National Archives) and 'The Hive' (crowdsourcing collection description).
Zoe’s articles analyze fire ecology conflicts, protracted disaster dynamics, and institutional innovation. She is currently accepting PhD students and can be reached at zoe.darcy@monash.edu.
