Dr. Zihuan Zhong is a Lecturer (Teaching Fellow) in Chinese and English at the Language Centre, School of Languages, Linguistics and Film, Queen Mary University of London. She joined QMUL in 2019 and teaches Pre-sessional English and Chinese Language and Culture. Previously, she taught general English, IELTS, and TOEFL in China for 14 years. Her qualifications include an MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, a Certificate in Learning and Teaching (CILT) from QMUL, a Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages, and a CELTA. She is currently a PhD candidate in QMUL's Department of Linguistics.

- Critical Discourse Analysis of political and news media
- Corpus Linguistics methodologies
- Cross-cultural communication patterns
