Ziad El Husseini, M.D. is a Professor of Oncology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center School of Medicine. He maintains clinical and research affiliations with the VA North Texas Care System and Dallas VA Medical System. His career spans from early specialization in ophthalmology to current focus on oncology, particularly gastrointestinal cancers.
Dr. El Husseini earned his Medical Degree from the American University of Beirut in 1986, followed by an Ophthalmology Internship (1987) and Residency (1990) at the same institution. He completed a Glaucoma Fellowship at Kentucky Lions Research Institute (1991), then moved to UT Southwestern Medical Center for an Ophthalmology Internship (1992), Residency (1995), and Oculoplastic Surgery Fellowship (1996).

His work examines combination therapies involving radiation, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy, with emphasis on treatment efficacy and safety profiles.
