Zhou Jianmin

Zhou Jianmin is a Researcher and doctoral supervisor at the Nanjing Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He currently serves as President of the Nanjing Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Director of the Academic Committee of the State Key Laboratory of Soil and Sustainable Agriculture. His affiliations include membership in the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the Central Committee of the China Democratic League, and the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the People's Congress.

• Education: Bachelor's in Chemistry (1982, Nanjing University), Master's in Soil Science (1984, Chinese Academy of Sciences)
• International Experience: University of Saskatchewan (PhD, postdoctoral research, 1987-1995)

Zhou's research focuses on soil fertility, soil chemistry, and the environmental impact of fertilization. He pioneered studies in China on soil potassium transformation dynamics and multi-element interactions in soil, contributing to sustainable agricultural practices through innovations in slow/controlled-release fertilizers and facility agriculture technologies.
