Dr. Zhongjie Jeffrey Lin is the Benjamin Z. Lin Presidential Professor and Director of the Urban Design concentration in the Department of City and Regional Planning at the University of Pennsylvania's Weitzman School of Design. He also directs the Future Cities Initiative and co-founded Futurepolis, an internationally recognized urban planning consultancy. His expertise spans urban design, sustainable urbanization, emerging mobilities, and Asian architectural and urban studies.
Lin holds a Ph.D. in Architectural History and Theory from the University of Pennsylvania and degrees from Tongji University. His research explores urban utopias, modern Japanese architecture, and China’s new town movements. Recent projects include the Penn Global initiative on spatial visions connecting China and the West, and the exhibition 'Building in China: A Century of Dialogues on Modern Architecture.'
