دانشیار · Novel Semiconductor Devices for Harsh Environment
University of Arkansas Fayettevilleمعرفی
Zhong Chen serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering within the College of Engineering at the University of Arkansas, where he has been a faculty member since 2015 following six and a half years of industry experience at Texas Instruments as an ESD specialist in Analog Technology Development.
His academic credentials include:
- Bachelor of Science in Instrumentation Science and Engineering from Zhejiang University, China
- Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore, Singapore
- Doctorate in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC
Dr. Chen's research program targets critical challenges in semiconductor technology through four interconnected thrusts: developing novel semiconductor devices capable of operating in extreme conditions; innovating high-voltage power device architectures and packaging solutions; advancing electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection and electromagnetic interference (EMI) mitigation strategies; and creating comprehensive reliability models for integrated circuits and systems. This work bridges fundamental device physics with practical engineering applications for robust electronic systems.
He currently instructs ELEG 2904 Digital Design and ELEG 4233/ELEG 5923 Introduction to Integrated Circuit Design, integrating his industry expertise into curriculum development.
