Professor Zhihong Xu is a leading academic at Griffith University, affiliated with the School of Environment and Science, and holds roles in the Centre for Planetary Health and Food Security and Xu's Soil-Plant-Climate Systems Group. He has authored over 430 journal/conference papers and 2 books, with an h-index of 63 and 13,245 citations. His research focuses on biogeochemical processes, soil-plant-climate interactions, and climate change impacts, emphasizing sustainable ecosystems and food security.
Education: BSc (Chemistry) from Jiangxi Normal University (1978–1982), MSc (Soil Science) from Chinese Academy of Sciences (1982–1984), and PhD (Environmental Science) from Griffith University (1986–1990).
