Analysis of her recent publications reveals a strong trend connecting accounting practices with crisis response mechanisms, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her work spans corporate social responsibility during emergencies, emotional attachment in service contexts, and the intersection of AI with digital economy transformation. The publications demonstrate consistent focus on ethical decision-making frameworks and stakeholder responses to corporate disclosures across multiple disciplines including business ethics, tourism management, and digital economy.
Chen actively supervises PhD students in Business Studies & Management, currently guiding three doctoral candidates. Her professional experience as a qualified FCCA accountant with 15 years in industry (including roles at Coca-Cola China, Nortel Network UK, and Michael Page Holding) informs her practical approach to teaching financial and management accounting at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She serves as module leader for Financial Accounting 1 at postgraduate level.
