Zhen Zhu

Zhen Zhu is Senior Lecturer in Big Data Analytics at the University of Kent Business School. His research develops analytical tools for understanding social/economic networks through data science, network science, and business analytics approaches applied to real-world industry challenges.

Research focuses on predictive analytics in healthcare, economic networks, social media marketing, and legal informatics. Current projects include diabetes prediction through online footprints, LLM-enhanced organizational network analysis, and supply chain forecasting.

Funded by Innovate UK, Alan Turing Institute, British Academy and Wellcome Trust. Serves as Associate Editor for Journal of Data Science and Supply Chain Analytics and Editorial Board Member for Health Science Reports and PLOS Complex Systems.

Teaches Big Data, Business Analytics, Machine Learning and Network Science. Supervises doctoral research on online health communities, DeFi user behavior, smart city transitions, and patent network analysis.
