Dr. Zhen Chen is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Biomedical Informatics & Data Science at Yale University, working with Prof. Qingyu Chen and Prof. Hua Xu. Prior to this, he served as an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Hong Kong Institute of Science & Innovation, Chinese Academy of Sciences (2022–2024). He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from City University of Hong Kong (2022), an M.Phil. in Information Science from University of Science and Technology of China (2019), and a B.Eng. in Information Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University (2016).
His research focuses on AI-driven healthcare solutions, including
- Multimodal clinical diagnosis
- Robot-assisted surgery intervention
- Medical foundation models for intelligent healthcare systems
