Prof. Dr. Zaroui Pogossian is a Principal Investigator of the ERC project Armenia Entangled and a Research Associate with Jews and Christians in the East. She holds a Professorship at Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germany. Previously, she served as a Visiting Research Fellow at the Käte Hamburger Kolleg (2011/12), held an Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship at the University of Tübingen (2010-2011), and taught as an Adjunct Professor at institutions like John Cabot University and the American University of Rome.
Educational Background: She earned a Ph.D. in Medieval Studies from Central European University (2004), an M.A. in Medieval Studies (2004), another M.A. in International Development (1997), and a B.A. in International Business & French (1994). Her research focuses on Armenian Christianity, medieval Armenian history, and apocalyptic traditions across Christian, Jewish, and Islamic cultures. She is preparing a critical edition of the Prophecies of Agaton, analyzing its context within medieval apocalyptic literature.
