Associate Professor Zakia Hossain is a Health Sociologist and Demographer at the University of Sydney. She holds academic affiliations with the Sydney Southeast Asia Centre and multiple research networks including the Sydney Cancer Research Network and the Faculty International Health Research Network. Her work focuses on health sociology, chronic diseases (particularly breast and cervical cancer), migrant health, and global health equity. She has received prestigious fellowships from AusAID and the Rockefeller Foundation.
