Dr. Md Nazmul Huda is a researcher at the University of New South Wales, School of Population Health and Community Medicine, with additional affiliation at the Ingham Institute for Applied Medical Research. He holds a PhD in public health and social epidemiology from UNSW Sydney and has built an extensive research portfolio with an h-index of 17 and i10-index of 26, publishing in high-impact journals including The Lancet, BMC Psychiatry, and BMJ Global Health.
His research spans mental, physical, sexual, and reproductive health promotion, with particular focus on marginalized populations including adolescents, children, older people, indigenous communities, refugees, sex workers, LGBTQI+ individuals, and migrant populations. His work on global health and infectious disease prevention has led to significant contributions in HIV prevention among female sex workers in Bangladesh, with his PhD research titled 'A mixed-methods study of sex work and the HIV prevention environment for female sex workers in Bangladesh.'
