Zaki Bahrami is a Lecturer at the University of Sunderland, specializing in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), English for Academic Purposes (EAP), and Arabic as a Foreign Language (AFL). He holds a BA in English Literature, a MA TESOL (distinction) from the University of Sunderland, and a MA in Business Management. Currently, he is pursuing a part-time PhD at Cambridge University, focusing on evaluating AFL instructional materials. His teaching spans over 20 years in the UK, Middle East, and China, with roles including EAP lecturer, TESOL course instructor, and module leader at Huaqiao University in China.
Research interests include English grammar teaching methodologies, EAP course design, and AFL curriculum evaluation. He has supervised student theses in TESOL and Education. Awards include Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. Bahrami emphasizes bridging academic skills with business and educational applications, and has taught modules like Public Speaking and Business Writing.
