Zach Pino is an Assistant Professor of Data-Driven Design at the Institute of Design, Illinois Institute of Technology (Illinois Tech). He holds a BA from the University of Chicago and an MDes from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His research focuses on generative algorithms, machine learning, wearable technologies, and reactive materiality to create inclusive interactive experiences and data-driven design solutions. Pino has contributed to open-source projects and collaborated with organizations like Steelcase Furniture and NEC America. He teaches courses in Interaction Design, Communication Systems, and Generative Design.
