Zach Abbott is a Lecturer at Bradley University’s Interactive Media Department within the Slane College of Communications & Fine Arts. He graduated from the same department and now teaches coding, design, and production pipelines to students.
- Education: Zach earned his degree from the Interactive Media Department at Bradley University.
Research and Professional Focus Zach specializes in game development, with a focus on augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and mobile applications for educational and commercial purposes. His technical expertise includes C#, SQL, Network Architecture, and Unity Game Engine programming.
Industry Experience Before teaching, Zach worked at Jump Simulation (OSF Healthcare System), where he developed AR tools like the AR Code Cart app, and at InContext Solutions for shopping visualization projects with brands such as Kellogg, Diageo, and Coca-Cola. Since 2022, he has been teaching full-time at Bradley.
Indie Game Development Outside academia, Zach creates a personal indie game and aims to establish an indie game studio in Peoria. He advocates for games as transformative art forms, stating: “Games are what movies were to books… the next step forward.”
