معرفی
Dr. Yvonne Tran is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Sydney's Sydney School of Health Sciences, Department of Medical Imaging Sciences. Her work focuses on neuropsychophysiological challenges in spinal cord injury, mental health outcomes post-trauma, and EEG-based technologies for assistive devices. She holds a PhD in Biomedical Science (2001) and has contributed to over 150 peer-reviewed publications.
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science (Hons), University of Technology Sydney (1997)
- PhD in Biomedical Science, University of Sydney (2001)
Research Interests:
Her research spans neuropsychophysiology, spinal cord injury rehabilitation, driver fatigue monitoring, and mental health outcomes. She explores brain activity changes linked to fatigue using EEG, develops assistive technologies for disabled populations, and investigates psychological adjustment models post-injury.
Publications Overview:
Recent work includes studies on mindfulness interventions for spinal cord injury survivors, EEG-based driver fatigue classification, and longitudinal hearing loss studies. Her research often combines clinical data with advanced signal processing techniques.
Grants & Collaborations:
Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams across medicine, engineering, and psychology. Active in large-scale studies like the International Spinal Cord Injury Community Survey and the Hearing impairment in Adults: A Longitudinal Outcomes Study (HALOS).
Labs/Teams:
Participates in neurorehabilitation research groups and assistive technology development initiatives at the University of Sydney's Faculty of Medicine and Health.
