Yvette Tyndale is a Clinical Instructor of Social Work at the Yale Child Study Center, Yale School of Medicine. She specializes in educating social work fellows on the NASW Code of Ethics and ethical decision-making in clinical practice. Her roles include program coordination at the US Department of Veteran Affairs, where she provides mental health and substance use treatment, and leadership in accreditation efforts through the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). She actively contributes to NASW/CT Chapter committees, notably chairing the Ethics Committee.
Yvette’s clinical expertise spans mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders, with a focus on child and adolescent psychiatric care. She previously served as an Advanced Clinical Social Work Fellow in Yale’s Intensive In-Home Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Service (2017–2018).
She leads the Social Work Fellowship Accreditation Task Force under CSWE and is the principal writer for accreditation standards. Her work emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, professional ethics, and enhancing social work education.
