Dilice Robertson is a Clinical Associate Professor and Director of the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program at New York University (NYU) College of Nursing. She holds a DNP from Fairfield University and is a nationally board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and clinical nurse specialist, specializing in child and adolescent populations. Her clinical expertise spans psychiatric residential treatment, substance use, community mental health, and hospital settings.

Dr. Robertson's research and professional focus centers on psychiatric-mental health nursing across the lifespan, with particular emphasis on early intervention in pediatric populations and holistic, integrative approaches to adult psychiatric care. She is dedicated to reducing stigma around psychiatric treatments such as electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) through innovative educational models involving interdisciplinary teaching partnerships between psychiatrists and APRNs.
Her recent publication explores a co-taught didactic intervention that significantly improved nursing students' knowledge and attitudes toward ECT, demonstrating her commitment to evidence-based psychiatric education and curriculum innovation.
She has been recognized with the Annie Goodrich Award for Excellence in Teaching at Yale School of Nursing (2020) and has served as an invited speaker for the Council for Higher Education Accreditation Guiding Coalition (2023) and Yale’s Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (2020).
Dr. Robertson actively mentors students through both didactic and clinical instruction in inpatient and outpatient settings. Before joining NYU, she played a key role in developing and updating the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner curriculum at Yale School of Nursing. She is affiliated with numerous professional organizations including the American Nurses Association, American Psychiatric Nurses Association, EMDR International Association, National Black Nurses Association, and the Yale School of Nursing Alumni Association. She also contributes to public mental health discourse through media engagement, particularly on issues related to policy impacts on student mental health services.
