Yvette Man-yi Kong is a Lecturer in the Art, Culture, and Technology (ACT) Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), affiliated with the School of Architecture + Planning. She pioneers Transversal Design, a methodology blending art, social innovation, and transdisciplinary practice. Kong founded Transversal Lab (T.Lab), an art innovation studio bridging socially-engaged art with public relevance, and Arelyx, an education venture focused on youth resilience in AI-driven societies. She also serves on the boards of Mind Hong Kong and lululemon’s Global Advisory Board on Mental Wellbeing.

Research & Practice: Kong’s work emphasizes mental wellbeing, creative leadership, and transdisciplinary solutions. She teaches courses like Transversal Design for Social Impact, blending art, technology, and societal challenges.
Labs & Ventures: Leads Transversal Lab (art+innovation) and co-founded Arelyx (youth education). Former Olympian (Hong Kong, 2016 Rio Olympics) and consultant to McKinsey & Company and Estee Lauder Companies.
