- Prior experience includes Policy Analyst at Belgian Embassy (Brexit focus) and legal work in a London software company
His research applies Europeanisation theory to analyze the UK's historic role in shaping EU and member states' perspectives on Hong Kong, particularly examining key events like the 2003 Article 23 legislation attempts, the 2014 Occupy movement, 2019 protests, and China's 2020 National Security Law. He also explores broader questions about Hong Kong's evolving position within EU-China and UK-China relations.
Scientific interests span EU-China relations, UK-China relations, post-Brexit foreign policy dynamics, and Hong Kong's socio-political history. His work addresses complex interplays between sovereignty transitions and contemporary international diplomacy.
