Yurtsev Uymaz is an Associate Professor in Finance at the Norwich Business School, University of East Anglia. He joined NBS in January 2018 as a Lecturer and was promoted to Associate Professor by August 2022. His research focuses on banking, corporate governance, corporate finance, and sustainable finance, with a particular emphasis on how executive power and board composition influence corporate misconduct, financial risk, and environmental compliance.

At NBS, Uymaz serves as Course Leader for MSc Management and MSc Banking & Finance. He teaches modules including Introduction to Corporate Finance, Investment Management, and Accounting & Financial Management, emphasizing practical applications in corporate finance and sustainable practices.
