معرفی
Dr. Yuriy Kuleshov is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Science at RMIT University, Australia. His research focuses on atmospheric sciences, climatology of tropical cyclones, and satellite remote sensing applications. He collaborates on projects addressing climate extremes, drought risk assessment, and multi-hazard risk mapping in Australia and the South-West Pacific. His teaching interests include climate change, seasonal climate prediction, and tropical cyclone dynamics.
Key research areas include:
- Assessing tropical cyclone and coastal inundation hazards in Australia
- Improving satellite-gauge rainfall datasets for hydrological modeling
- Developing drought early warning systems using machine learning
- Evaluating vector-borne disease distribution linked to climatic factors
Publications from 2022-2023 highlight advancements in:
- Multi-hazard risk assessment frameworks
- Statistical interpolation of remote sensing data
- Seasonal tropical cyclone forecasting techniques
- GIS-based flood resilience mapping
Dr. Kuleshov is open to supervising PhD/Masters students in climate science, remote sensing applications, and disaster risk management. His work bridges environmental data analysis with practical solutions for climate resilience.
