معرفی
Dr. Yuri Shavrukov is a Senior Research Fellow at Flinders University's College of Science and Engineering, specializing in plant genetics and molecular biology. Previously, he held positions at CSIRO Plant Industry and the University of Adelaide's Plant Genomics Centre, focusing on drought and salinity tolerance in crops.
- Novosibirsk State University (BSc, MSc)
- Institute of Cytology and Genetics (PhD 1991)
His research explores plant gene analysis, molecular markers, and abiotic stress tolerance. He collaborates with institutions in Kazakhstan on crop genotyping and gene characterization for drought resistance in legumes and cereals.
His recent articles focus on vernalization in barley, lentil pod height genes, and PEG-induced drought simulations. These works emphasize molecular markers, genetic diversity, and abiotic stress responses.
- Science and Technology Agency (STA) Post-Doctoral Fellowship, Japan (1995-1996)
- JSPS Post-Doctoral Fellowship, Japan (1998)
- JSPS Senior Research Fellowship, Japan (2012)
Dr. Shavrukov mentors Masters and PhD students in molecular marker studies and collaborates with Kazakh institutions under the Bolashak Governmental Funding Program.
