She holds roles as PGCE Secondary Maths Lead, ITE Numeracy Reporting Lead, and convenor of Master’s modules like Self-Directed Study (SDS) and Teaching and Learning in the Curriculum (T&L). Her research focuses on curriculum design, East-West pedagogy integration (e.g., variation theory/mathematics mastery), and the Causal Connectivity Framework (CCF). Notable projects include the Fusion Maths initiative (2021) and work on mathematical creativity and reasoning. She supervises PGR students, advises the Fulbright Distinguished Awards programme, and leads the Laidlaw Scholarship project for Multi-Academy Trusts.
Educationally, Linda holds BSc and MSc degrees in Mathematics Education from Shanghai, where she taught secondary mathematics for over a decade. She later earned QTS/NQT qualifications in England, followed by a PhD comparing student understanding of linear functions between England and Shanghai. Her post-doctoral research explored mathematics mastery pedagogy and educational evaluation.
Research interests span comparative studies, curriculum sequencing, and future-oriented mathematics education. Her work emphasizes integrating reasoning skills through cumulative knowledge frameworks and addressing challenges in teacher training and policy implementation.
