Jennifer Field is a Professor of Mathematics Education at the University of Greenwich, affiliated with the School of Education within the Faculty of Education, Health and Human Sciences. She holds titles of National Teaching Fellow and HEA Senior Fellow, recognized for her transformative contributions to primary mathematics education. Her career spans over three decades, blending teaching excellence, leadership, and research.
Educationally, she holds a B Ed Hons with QTS and an MA. Her research focuses on primary mathematics pedagogy, teacher training, and student resilience. She pioneered initiatives like the South East England Consortium’s MaST Programme, impacting over 150 schools, and led nationally funded projects such as the 'Whole School Approaches to Teaching Times Tables.'
Jenny’s leadership roles include Curriculum Lead for Primary Mathematics, PGCE Primary Maths Programme Leader, and strategic partner in the National Maths Hub and Shanghai Teacher Exchange Programme. Her work extends to resilience initiatives, contributing to university-wide policies like the TEF submission and Assessment Policy.
