Jill Trinder is a Senior Lecturer in Teacher Education and Lead for Primary Mathematics at the University of Greenwich, affiliated with the School of Education within the Faculty of Education, Health and Human Sciences. She oversees primary mathematics education across QTS undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
- Education: BA (Hons) in English, PGCE from Southbank University, MA in Education (with Distinction).
Jill’s research focuses on mathematics education, teacher training, and inclusive pedagogy for children with hearing impairments. She has designed innovative projects for the South East Maths Hub and contributed to national curriculum development through her role as a DfE Primary Maths Specialist (MaST).
Awards:
- Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).
She serves as an External Examiner for Winchester University and holds leadership roles in the Mathematics Association and South East Maths Hub Strategic Board. Her career spans eight years as a primary school teacher in Bexley, including leadership in mathematics education, before transitioning to academia in 2013.
