Yunfei Shi is a Lecturer at the School of Information Systems & Technology Management within the Business School at the University of New South Wales Sydney. He is based in Level 2 Quadrangle Building at UNSW Sydney 2052.
Dr. Shi obtained his PhD in Business Information Systems from the University of Queensland in 2017. His research spans two primary areas: digital innovation and entrepreneurship, and theoretical/methodological improvements in Information Systems research. Within digital innovation, he examines digital product innovation across entrepreneurial and established companies, and the adoption of Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence at individual and organizational levels. His second research focus centers on critical realist research approaches to enhance IS discipline theories and methods.
Dr. Shi's scholarly contributions include 4 journal articles, 15 conference papers, and 1 working paper. His research has been recognized with the prestigious ACPHIS (Australian Council of Professors and Heads of Information Systems) Best Australian IS PhD Thesis Award in 2018.
