Dr. Yunbo Zhang is an Assistant Professor at RIT's Industrial & Systems Engineering department with joint affiliation to the Golisano College of Computing. His research develops AR-human-robot collaboration systems for advanced manufacturing.
He leads projects funded by NSF and New York State focusing on:
- AR-guided robotic assembly
- Human-centered robot programming
- Tacit knowledge capture in machining
Recent work includes novel depth sensing techniques and cognitive load-aware interfaces for industrial robots. He serves as Associate Editor for Frontiers in Robotics and AI.
